- In article <4hnrh9$g0g@alpine.valleynet.com> you wrote:

-
- Nope. I don't have GEOS.
- I program purely in high level language, C, C++ and Pascal.
- I used to do that on my 386sx, and now I do it on the Sparcs at my school.
- Unfortunately, I don't know 6502asm, otherwise, I would program for my
- C128; I have picked up a book or two on learning 6502asm, but just got
- around to reading them, been too busy with school work.
-
- : On a separate note, I am wondering if anyone would be interested in yet another

-
- I think it's pretty cool that you're writing your own Operating System on
- your own for a C128. ;-)) I actually want to do something like that some
- day too.
-
- However, I think the problem is there are many of wanting to write good
- stuff for Commodore 64/128. A lot of us are working separately instead of
- together, and so we end of with stuff here and there... and just not quite
- complete. You just end up with the bare bones, rather than a complete
- robost software/utility.
-
- Again, I don't program for the C64/128. But, I suggest that those of you
- whom do to work together more often.
-
- I think it's really better for you to build up on top of someone else's
- work, expand it more, and make it even better.
- Ever heard of Craig Bruce's ACE [Advance Computer Environment]?
- It's a UNIX like OS he wrote for the C64 and C128.
- I've never gotten to look at it, but I've heard may good things about it.
-
- I think it'll be nice if you can help Craig Bruce develop more tools, and
- utilities for his ACE; I'm sure he'll appreciate some help, because he
- won't be able to do everything all by himself.
-
- Of course it'll be great to write you own OS, and try to do everything
- yourself. Again, the problem is... it's just a little do much for any one
- person to do, and you just never quite get what you want done in time.
-
- Rather than each of us building our own little hills, we should get
- together and build a mountain. ;-))
-
- If you need Craig Bruce's email, just contact me... he also frequents
- comp.sys.cbm
-
- Whatever you decide, best of luck to you with your work
-
- regards,
- Pat
